It all started with change; an inner transformation. At the age of 13, the artist was diagnosed with a uterine malformation that endangered her fertility, as well as her potential of living as a normal woman. But what is a ''normal'' woman these days? That is the underlying question that the artist ponders with this work, in an era where illness or anomaly is a shared condition, through its infinite trajectories, that can represent normalcy.
To accept and describe the anomaly, to show its beauty, to create from the inability of procreating, that was the challenge encountered while assembling the blown glass pieces of this intimate yet public installation. The outcome resulted with deformed pieces that seem ornamental, where the inner space notions and the visceral art became literal.
The pieces presented are themselves a sign of an artistic change, uniting glass and padded textile, which by their play with transparency and textures, reciprocally transform themselves.

A Canadian man and a Spaniard woman meet, fall in love and decide to live together. They quickly find out about the countless laws , rules, forms, paperwork and all the other administrative red tape that prevent their love from easily crossing the seemingly friendly Canadian border.
This story, our own, is the inspiration for our collaborative project entitled Semina Percurrenta, which loosely means the ''travelling seeds'' in Latin.
Why do we have borders to divide our lives? Couldn't we be more like seeds and just blow freely in the wind?
Our project consists of sculptural installations inspired by invading plants that defy borders, where the seed becomes a metaphor for freedom.

The project "Wearable analysis of my menstruation“ proposes a series of 5 jewelry pieces created with tampons and sanitary napkins and completed with glass.
Jewels have been in human history and specially that of women, since ever. Sometimes as simple ornaments, other times as amulets or emblems, others with added functionality and in many cultures as wealth symbols. They have been always objects of exhibition, in contrast, menstruation, a basic and natural process in the women's bodies, has always been hidden.
Half of the humanity are women, they bleed every 28 days for a period of 3 to 5 days. It is interesting though, that despite the recurrence of this process, menstruating women have been object of taboos, and referred to as impure, soiled or sinful in different cultures and ages.

POSIDONIA, called glass algae, use to wrap glass pieces in time of physical fragilities.
Today she protects us from life beings, is a natural biomarker.
The Posidonia algae comes from the Mediterranean sea, in Roman times was used to wrap and transport glass. Known as the "glass algae".

I want my thousand love cards and no desperate song
"Quiero mis 1000 cartas de amor y ninguna canción desesperada"

Durante 3 años mi abuelo, en servicio militar, envió cada día una carta de amor a mi abuela, generando así casi unas 1000 cartas de amor. Estas han sido guardadas durante años y ahora son expuestas gracias al proyecto.
"Quiero mis 1000 cartas de amor y ninguna canción desesperada" es un Work in Progres que invita a la gente a escribir una carta de amor anónima y enviarla al email creado para el proyecto.
La artista cada día abre el email y lee una carta, así hasta que un día habrá leído sus 1000 cartas de amor, igual que su abuela.
Podran aún y no tener el mismo autor, tener el mismo significado?
